Summer Meals

June 27 - August 29

Even when school is out, you can still enjoy free breakfast and lunch(Open external link)! Our 2025 Free Summer Meals Program is here for you all across New York City, and it's totally free for anyone who's 18 years old or younger. You can find these meals at specific places like select NYC Public Schools, community pool centers, parks, and libraries. And guess what? You don't need to sign up, show any papers, or have an ID to get these meals. Just head to one of our spots and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch. Have a great summer filled with good food and fun!

As summer approaches more additional information will be available.

Service Information

• Friday, June 27, 2025 – Friday, August 29, 2025 (No service Friday, July 4, 2025)

Help Get the Word Out About Free Summer Meals

To help support outreach to families about this program, a Summer Meals Toolkit(Open external link) has been created to access flyers(Open external link) that can be passed out, and social media images(Open external link) available to post. These items (available in all NYCPS languages) have free summer meals program details printed on them, which serve as a guide to families wishing to participate in the Free Summer Meals program. 

Community Based Organizations (CBO)

Community Based Organizations (not affiliated with the Department of Youth and Community Development, DYCD) that are either, non-profit or not-for-profit, may be eligible for pick-up or delivery of Summer Meals, (breakfast, lunch, or breakfast and lunch) if you meet the criteria for the Summer Meals Program.

If you have received communication previously with a user id and password to log-in to your current summer meals application(Open external link), please use the link below. If you are new to our program and want to apply, visit our Summer Meals Program online application(Open external link). All approved summer meal applications that will be distributing meals must have an employee(s) attend a Free Four-Hour Food Protection Course(Open external link).
